About Me
Hi, I’m Matthew, the face behind Halfback Productions. I have been a Computing Teacher for over 7 years and a ‘dabbler’ with technology for many more. I really enjoy the process of capturing events on film and editing those clips into a story.
I also create digital content, offering services for social media and promotional materials, with roles over the years with Ulster Rugby, Hellbent, Ballymoney RFC, and currently leading the PR team in my workplace.

Disclaimer: This photo was taken 5 years ago, before we got a dog, a mortgage and had our first baby. It’s safe to say, I now have a few more grey hairs.

Action & Sports
Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to capture the action at a number of sporting events. Check out one of my first videography projects from back in 2019 when I had the opportunity to capture the action between Ballymoney and Coleraine in the local derby. It was through this project my interest in videography was first properly ignited… and why each birthday and Christmas present has been a new piece of equipment since!
Weddings & Events
I had the honour of creating a wedding movie for my cousin. At this stage I had limited equipment, but was pleased with the results. More recently I have developed a number of videos publicising a school. Working with a forward thinking and creative team of staff and a talented group of willing students we helped capture the heart of the school community.
Digital Content Design
With experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator I have developed numerous promotional materials, including social media content, posters and branding. I like to push my skills and try new things, but I always aim to create clean and professional content.
